Antique binoculars, value?

I found some old binoculars in the attic. I have no idea whether they're of any value or if they're even antique.

They have the number 12 and 'Verres' inscribed on them.

Anybody have any idea what they might be worth, if anything?

They look to me to be field glasses rather than binoculars. Look in your local 'phone book to find reputable antique dealers. Let several look at them so you know what they are and what they are worth. Another good source is your local museum. There does seem to be a market for various optical instruments at the moment
